Wilderness Trail Outfitters maintains about hundreds of miles of dogsled trails. Guaranteeing that you will not see the same trail twice in a row.  We do not travel on snowmobile trails.

Tours start December 1 and run to April 30.

1, 2, 4 & 6 hour Tour prices are based on 2 people per sled. Call or e-mail for 1 person per sled prices.

We can accommodate up to 32 people for 2 hour trips per day, and 16 people for 6 hour trips per day.

All trail traveling times are approximate, speeds of dogs are dictated by the trail conditions. Trails can be very fast or they can be slow.

 1 hour tours---------------------$ 65.00 per person (5 to 7 mile trail)

 2 hour Tours--------------------$ 100.00 per person (12 to 14 mile trail)

arrive at Wilderness Trail Outfitters at scheduled time, take short class on operating the sled, leave kennel come back in 2 hours. 

4 hour Tours ---------------------$155.00 per person (22 to 28 mile trail)

arrive at Wilderness Trail Outfitters at scheduled time, take short class on operating the sled, leave kennel come back in 4 hours.

One day Tours(6 hours)---------$210.00 per person (30 to 40 mile trail)

arrive at Wilderness Trail Outfitters at 9:00 am, take short class on how to operate the sled, leave about 10:00 am, 1:00 pm stop for campfire and lunch (included), return to kennel around 3:00 to 5:00 pm. WTO reserves the right to have lunch at the cabin if the temperatures are to cold for the clothing you are wearing.

One person Package - 1 full day of dogsledding

this pricing is based on 2 persons per sled, you may be teamed up with someone or if you wish to travel alone add $100.00

 $320.00             

Includes: 1 full day of dogsledding, one nights lodging, dinner, breakfast, lunch on the trail. Dinner and breakfast at Hiawatha Resort in restaurant.

One person Packages - 2 full days of dogsledding

this price is based on 2 people per sled so you may be teamed up with someone or if you wish to travel alone add $200.00

$630.00 per person

Includes: 2 full days of dogsledding, Friday and Saturday night accommodations; all meals from Friday dinner through Sunday lunch. Lunch is prepared on the trail, all other meals at Nahma Inn or Hiawatha Resorts  Restaurant.

Two Person Packages-1 full day of dogsledding

$630.00 per couple

Includes: 1 full day of dogsledding, one nights lodging;  Friday dinner , Saturday breakfast and lunch. Lunch is prepared on the trail, all other meals at Nahma Inn or Hiawatha Resorts restaurant.

The Wilderness Experience Tours

Multiple day trips

Experience the joy's - the thrills - the beauty - the hardships - of training a long distance race team. Take a team of 8  dogs and follow me running a training schedule. Camping is trail side, unless otherwise requested.

$300.00 & up per person per day

these tours are only available with Fred as the guide.

The difference between these tours and all other tours is YOU are driving a dog team by yourself and the teams are larger, usually 8 dogs but can go as high as a 10 dog team.

If you have a destination that you would like to dogsled, we can arrange the to have dogs at that location just ask on our fees.

All Wilderness Tours are based on 1 person per sled running a 8 to 12 dog team. Maximum of 4 people allowed per tour for Wilderness trips.

Weight restrictions apply.

You must be in good physical condition. If there are any physical restrictions or medical considerations we must be notified at the time reservations are made.

Longer tours are available. Send inquires via email or call me directly.

Reservations are a must. 50% deposit required for confirmation of tour. Balance due upon arrival.

Refunds

Refunds (minus a $50.00 booking fee) will only be given when we are notified 60 days or more in advance in writing from your tour date. After that date, fees will not be refunded but they can be applied to another tour, minus a tour change fee. If weather related factors (airport or highway closure, lack of snow, etc) result in cancellation of a tour, all fees paid will be applied towards another tour of the participant's choice this year or next.
